Bell, Moore & Richter is one of Wisconsin's oldest law firms, established in 1851, three years after Wisconsin became the 30th state admitted to the Union. Originally founded under the name of Vilas & Remington, the firm began operation after Levy Baker Vilas moved to Wisconsin and set up his practice in Madison.
