Emmerich

Ann Emmerich is a graduate of the University of Michigan (B.A.) and Marquette University Law School, where she was on the Law Review. She began her career as an Assistant Cook County State's Attorney in Chicago, Illinois where she spent 6 of her 8 years prosecuting felony cases.

Since moving to Madison, Ann has focused her practice in the insurance defense area, successfully defending a range of civil cases including: auto, truck and boating accidents; product liability; construction defect; premises liability; and Bad Faith.

Ann has tried over 50+ jury trials, is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and is a past President of the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. She has been voted by her peers as a "Superlawyer" since 2012 and named as one of Madison’s TOP 25 Super Lawyers since 2020. In 2016, and by Superlawyers as one of Wisconsin's TOP 25 Women Super Lawyers and one of Madison's TOP 25 Super Lawyers. Ann was named by Wisconsin Law Journal Staff as a 2025 "Women in the Law." Ann has been selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2018.

Ann has an avid interest in the outdoors and spends her free time cycling, cross-country skiing and camping with her husband.
