Cortney J. Runnels
Cortney was born and raised in Coloma, Wisconsin. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Political Science from the University of Madison. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School where she served as a managing articles editor on the Wisconsin Journal of Law, Gender & Society. Prior to joining Bell, Moore & Richter, S.C., Cortney served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Brian Blanchard at the Wisconsin Court of Appeals.
Cortney advises and represents clients on a diverse range of civil issues including insurance coverage and bad faith, legal services, and general liability defense. She is licensed to practice law in all Wisconsin state courts as well as the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin.
Outside of work, Cortney enjoys exploring the state and spending time with her friends and family.
