Ann Emmerich is a graduate of the University of Michigan (B.A.) and Marquette University Law School, where she was on the Law Review. She began her career as an Assistant Cook County State's Attorney in Chicago, Illinois where she spent 6 of her 8 years prosecuting felony cases.
Since moving to Madison, Ann has focused her practice in the insurance defense area, successfully defending a range of civil cases including civil rights, auto accidents, municipal liability and medical malpractice.
Ann has tried over 50 jury trials, is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and is a Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (see links below). She has been voted by her peers as a "Superlawyer" in 2012 to present. In 2016, Ann was named by Superlawyers as one of Wisconsin's TOP 25 Women Super Lawyers; and one of Madison's TOP 25 Super Lawyers. Ann has been selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® for 2018 to present.
Ann has an avid interest in the outdoors and spends her free time cycling, cross country skiing and camping with her husband.
